The 12th session of Emirates Airline Festival of Literature is launched today, with the participation of 206 writers, thinkers and creators from more than 43 countries, and a wide range of local talents.

The Festival broadcasts selected sessions live for the first time for around 100,000 students in 284 schools across the UAE.

The Festival's program for this year is characterized by many shows and sessions devoted to the Day of Education attended by school students, and book visits to schools are the most prominent of these events.

The Festival events are held over six days at Intercontinental Dubai Festival City, in partnership with Dubai Culture and Arts Authority. The program of this session focused on the most urgent issues of our age, as the most famous writers, thinkers, creators and speakers will shed light on what we experience and suffer.

Among the most prominent participants in the Festival, Emirati astronaut; Hazza Al Mansouri, Explorer; Ranulf Venice, and Space Scientist; Dr. Maggie Aderin-Pocock, and there are elite novelists such as the author of "Rosie Project"; Grim Simpson, the author of "Killing Eve"; Luke Jennings and the two crime literature writers; Joe Nespo and Linwood Barclay.

Emirates Airlines is preparing to inform the Festival’s visitors about its role in Dubai Expo, through activities that include interactive experiences with visitors, introducing them to the various pavilions of the international exhibition. Children will enjoy creative activities by reading their favorite novels and reviewing the Emirates Airlines booklet “Fly With Me Animal Toys”, which includes Dubai Expo activities. The large coloring wall in the children's area will also contain exclusive artwork designs made by the Emirati artist, Abdullah Lutfi. These designs provide a visual depiction of "the greatest exhibition in the world", including the Emirates Airlines pavilion and one of the Emirates Airlines aircrafts decorated with the logo of the exhibition.
